MRS. SUSIE B. ALLEN
Funeral rites for Mrs. Susie B. Allen were conducted Friday afternoon, December 3 from the Antioch Baptist Church in Culpeper.
Mrs. Allen died at her home 126 W. Williams St., on November ,30.
She was 67 years old and a daughter of the late Robert and Alice Beckwith of Rappahannock County. She was also the wife ?of the late Stewart Allen. She was a chartered member of Antioch Baptist Church and was loved by all who knew her.
She leaves to moan her going, one sister, Mrs. Mildred Holmes, of New Jersey; four brothers, James of Massachusetts, Earnest, Frank and Brown of Washington; two foster sons, Gerard Jennings and Robert Beckwith of Culpeper; two nieces, Miss Mabel Holmes of N. J. and Mrs. Alice Porter of Washington; two nephews, Richard and Robert Holmes of N. J.; and a host of relatives and friends. 0 - .
A Christmas program will be given at the Hopewell Baptist Church, Tuesday night,■'December 21, at 8 o’clock. The public is invited to attend.
The Christmas program of the Flint Hill Elementary School will be Friday, December 17 at 8 p.m. The public is invited.
The Christmas program for the Washington Elementary School will be Monday night, December 20, at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the program. Refreshments on sale and plenty of music. Admission at the door.
The teachers and pupils of the Washington Elementary School wish everyone a Merry Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. ~~
