charge of the sick room. Among those from Sperryville shopping in Front Royal Saturday afternoon were Misses Della, Beulah', and Ebba Hitt and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer and two daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kagey and daughter of Cottage City, Md., were week-end guescts of Mrs. O. B. Swindler and her daughter, Miss Barbara Swindler. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood were visitors in Winchester on Monday. Miss Mary Helen Bruce of Richmond was a week-end guest of her mother, Mrs. Helen Bruce who also had as her guests on Sunday, her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Smith of Gainesville. Miss Jean Brown of Richmond was a week-end guest of her - parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown. Charles Brown has arrived from V.P.I. for his Christmas holiday at the home of his parents. Mrs. H. H. Aylor, who spent last week in Arlington to be near her son, Joe Henry Aylor, has returned to her home. Mr. Aylor is said to be fairly comfortable and his improvement is normal at his home now. Elder J. Harvey Daily is improving from deep cold and virus infection which has confined him to his bed for the past week. He was not able to fill his appointments at the regular services in Martinsburg, W. Va. on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Durden and their five children of Bentpnville were dinner guests in the home of their parents.
Miss Ruby Dwyer and Mrs. Rhoda Harrell Pullen, who are employed in Washington, D. C. were at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Dwyer and Mrs. Betsey Harrell for the week end.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Taylor and Mrs. Ronnie Taylor were the week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor at Blacksburg. -Mrs. Jack Bruce motored to Front Royal on Sunday afternoon to be present for the Golden anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Hawkins, who held a reception honoring this event from 2 to 4 p.m. in the T.W.W.A. Hall on Chester Street.
Mrs. Sadie Baker, who has been spending some time in the home of Elder and Mrs. J. H. Daily, left on Friday by plane to join her husband, Robert Baker, who is serving in the Hawaiian Islands
