Christmas Eve will be ushered into Amissville next Wednesday , night, December 24 with a candle- . /: light service at the Amissville Methodist Church from 7 to 8 o’clock. A pageant of the Christmas Story will be performed as Reverend Harold Thatch reads the Story as told in the Bible.
Following the community candle-light service the group will > gather around the town’s Christmas tree and sing carols. The Carolers will then visit homes of t ; shut-ins and those unable to at- 1% tend services or outside activities. (If there is someone you would f like the carolers to call on, please * leave the name at Hackley’s ■ Store.) Hot chocolate and cookies will be served the singers in the church, from 10-11.
It is hoped that .all will try to >■ > devote one hour to attending this performance and be awarded with the happiest of all Christmases. Everyone is invited to join the Carolers or otherwise participate 1. in this celebration of His birthday.
