Miss Naughty Lady’s charms failed however as Miss Mambo’s knee length stockings and Miss Let ' Me Go Lover’s dainty loveliness won them high honors. \ j
The Sperryville auditorium was * already filled at the 8:15 curtain time and more came in during the show to clap for their beauty queen and enjoy the musical selections by the Gordon Thornhill Band, Group Quartet, Michael Moscarella and Sperryville Elementary School with Miss Nancy Brown’s Hufa-Hula Dance, a special treat.
As the most beautiful contestant in die Firemen and V. F. W. Beauty Class, Miss Let Me Go Lover Was awarded a colorsome pair of unmentionables, as tioo was the funniest contestant, ♦ Miss Mambo. Lee Swindler, i Miss Tweddle Dee Dee and Bob Estes, - Miss Naughty Lady of Shady Lane won second and third in the " funniest contestant class. Mite Unsuspecting Heart, Pete Estes, and Miss Sincerely, Wilson Burke « were tagged as,the second and third winners in the “most beautiful” contest.
