SCHOOL NEWS
The first baseball game of the season will be played against Madison on April 1st. Admission will be 10c to be used in purchasing equipment.
On March 29th, R. G. Leonard, Agriculture Instructor, and f Don Liscomb, Jimmie Clatterbuck, Dickie Atkins, Nelson, Atkins, and Ashby Anderson went to Orange' for a livestock-judging training course. The course, conducted at Mt. Sharon, and Fair-view Farms, was sponsored by VPI Extension Service and taught by Hugh Henderson. Instruction was given In judging Hereford and Angus Cattle, Hampshire and Southdown sheep and in judging swine. The same group will attend another meeting of this kind at the University of‘Maryland on April 2nd.
“A-Feuding Over Yonder” will be presented on April 14th. For years, the Fryes and the Popoffs Tnave been feuding. Rosie Belle Frye (Julia Atkins) is the best shot around. Her brother, Clem (Henry Hudson) and sister, Emmy (Betty Rutherford), however , would like to end the feud. Zeke Popoff (Robert Thornhill) would also like to see peace restored.
