Ned Johnson #M elected presi- ' dent of the Rappahannock Farm Bureau in a, permanent organization meeting held Tuesday night in the Court House. Herbert Foster of Flint Hill was elected VicePresident and L. J. Turner ofa Washington, Secretary-Treasurer. The 60nodd members present also nominated and elected 12 directors including the 3 officers: for Jackson, Ivor Jacobs and E. J. Pawley; "H for Hawthorne, Eddie Gore and Brown Miller; for Stonewall, Maurice O’Bannon and Thomas Williams; for Piedmont, Ned Johnson and P. Lee Thornton; fbr Hampton, L. J. Turner and Ned Jones; for Wakefield, Herbert Foster and H. S. Barksdale.
A membership report stated that 37 members had been added to the original 22 members bringing jh^ total membership to 59.
Previous to'the election of officers, several officers af the Virginia Farm Bureau organization previewed briefly the purpose of the Farm Bureau Organization; and the legislation that they had advocated in the 1954 assembly. A visiting official also told the group of the insurance available solely to members of Farm Bureau organization.

Taxpayers - remember the regu- „ Jar meeting of the Board of Supervisors to be held on April 6th at which time the Board iwill again consider the county budget and' fix the levies for the year 1955. AncL the Board will also hear all interested, taxpayers in re construction and re-construction of roads in the secondary system of highways in Rappahannock County. A representative of the Department of Highways will meet with the _ Board and Taxpayers on said date.
