FLINT HILL WSCS DISCUSS STUDENT WORK
The Women’s Society of Christian Service met with Mrs. H. G. Thach for the regular March meeting on Thursday night. There were 11 members present Mrs. Paul Miller, vice president, presided in the business meeting and in the program and devotions that followed. The subject for discussion was “Student Work,” which covers all Methodist work with college students. Mrs.' Thach served refreshments during the social hour.
VARIETY SHOW WINNERS ‘ Those from Washington who carried off the honors in the Variety Show given in the Sperryville School auditorium sponsored by the Sperryville Fire Company and V. F. W. Post 1150 were Miss Mable Hawkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins, as. Miss Rappahannock; the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Johnston won in Teeny Tots class, best looking couple, Kay Johnston and Edward Gore of Sperryville won 1st; Carolyn and Billy Spicer won 3rd in this class. Jimmy Wayland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Wayland, won the honors as the prettiest lady.
