day. - Strother Brown who has ' re* - cently received his discharge from Military duty is at the home of his mother, 'Mrs. Catherine Brown. On Thursday, Mrs. Brown and her sons, Strother and daughter, Mrs. Shirley Brown, were supper guests of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray White in Winchester. Jane White returned with them for a vacation with her grandmother and family.
Guests on Saturday of Mrs. Catherine Brown were her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Atkins of Akron, Ohio. On • Sunday, Mrs. Brown, Strother and Julian, Miss Shirley Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Soy White and family. Bennie Brown of Winchester were guests of her father, George W. Atkins in Luray, where Mr. and Mrs. Frank Atkins are also guests.

Mrs. Sadie Rowe of Chevy Chase, D. €., and daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Hammonds, with her son Wayne, of Cottage City, Md., spent the weekend with Mrs. O. »B. Swindler and family. They have just returned from a vacation trip to California, Mexico and other points of interest in the Southwest including a week in Texas visiting the family of the late Mr. Hammond’s.
