the 4-H club department of V.P.I. and instruction is furnished by extension service staff members and representatives of the United States Department of Agriculture. Partial scholarships to all attending camp are furnished by the Federal Cartridge Corp.
Jean Lit lard, of Flint Hill, won third place' in the rifle shooting class. Instruction was given in fire arms safety and each student learned to shoot a rifle correctly.
Rap Owing* gave instruction in archery.
Mrs. Gentry was a member oi the Vesper Service Committee and assisted in the barbecue, when 200 chickens were cooked over charcoal for the campers Friday evening dinner. Jean Lillard and Elinor Atkins who have taken outdoor Cookery as a summer project also assisted Miss Mary Thompson as she class and prepared the barbecue.
