National 4~H Club
Week March 5-12 .
More than 2,254,000 4-H Club members in America are observing National 4-H Club Week this week. These 4-H'ers, 10 to 21 years of age, belong to about 93,000 local clubs in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Their latest records show 3,749,652 projects completed in a single year in farming, arid other activities in their rural urban and suburban localities.
Aims of National- 4-H Week are to help members measure their progress and set new goals.
Influence more young people to join or form 4-H clubs.
Acquaint more parents with 4-H and enlist their aid.
Encourage youth-minded c i t izens to volunteer as local leaders.
Increase public understanding of 4-H objectives and methods.

Express appreciation to friends of 4-H.
4->H members earn' on projects in farming, homemaking, community service and other activities. They raise livestock and poultry and grow gardens and field crops, conserve soil, sew, cook, preserve food, and improve their homes.
The primary aims of 4-H are to pror ide opportunities for the mem tel, physical, social and spiritual growth of young people. Informal education supplements training received in the home, church, school and other agencies.
Due to the natuie of 4-H work, young people of .America have frequent chances to meet and know each other, and to become acquainted with youth and adults in other lands.
