Social security checks may not be delivered to some beneficiaries in this area this month,, according to Miss Florence Schaffner, Field Representative of the Alexandria Social Security District Office, be cause they have moved recently, but failed to notify the Social Security Administration of their new addresses.
Any change of address should be reported in advance to insure regular delivery of checks. Social security benefits are mailed automatically, once a person is on the rolls. Many times, however, payments are delayed .because changes of address are not reported promptly.
Miss Schaffner explained that when claims for benefits are filed, j postcard forms are furnished for beneficiaries to make these reports. To avoid delay and hardship, each beneficiary must act promptly to make the’ required reports. The
