Mrs. Guy Burke told me this morning that it had been at least 34 years since the Baptist Church had been closed on Sunday, and last Thursday Mr. Joe Jenkins couldn’t get out—first mail he had missed in about 28 years. Some records. Saw Mrs. Joe riding the mail with Mr. Joe Saturday. She too, was tired of sitting on a hill looking out.
Guess Sarah won’t mind if I am long winded this week. Gotta fill this news paper up with something since no body—but nobody could get out much, consequently there go the socials.
Well this week our paper really belongs to the-4-H’ers. This is their week and they' deserve it. It’s ceitainly a wonderful organization. 1 noticed Nancy Buntin has a sign in her front yard.“A 4-H Member I.ives Here.” It looks very proud and 1 am sure Nancy is proud of h;:\ ing it.
Feeling a little funny around my jaws.... who knows 1 may be ne.ct.or Sarah. Nancy is home with mumps this week. Should you say "home with them or if?”
