Shiloh Association
Will Meet In Madison
The one-hundred sixty-sixth annual session of the Shiloh Baptist Association will meet on Wednesday and Thursday, August 10 and 11, at 10:00 a.m. The Beth Car Baptist Church in Madison Virginia is to serve as host for the two-day meeting.
Messengers from the forty-one churches of the Association will have as their theme: “Found Faithful in Christian Stewardship”. In addition to the reports from the churches and associational organizations, the Association ' will hear from representatives of the agencies and institutions of Virginia Baptists. The Reverend H. E. Nicholson, of Sperryville, is to deliver the annual sermon. Other featured speakers are Dr. Lucius Polhill, Executive Secretary of the Virginia Baptist Board of Missions and Education; Dr. Charles Harman, President of Bluefield College; and Dr. Robert S. Denny, Associate Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance.
The Reverend Gareth Miller, pastor of Jeffersonton Baptist Church, is the Moderator of the Shiloh Baptist Association and will preside over the sessions. He will be completing a two-year term.
The Reverend James B. Fleet is pastor of the Beth Car Baptist Church.
