Miss Ann E. Soboloff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Soboloff of Milford, Connecticut, became the bride of John Franklin Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne of Washington, Virginia, on Sunday, July 17 in New Haven, Connecticut.
The two o’clock ceremony was performed by Canter Harry Sebran of Congregation Mishkan Israel, New Haven.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a street-length dress of white organza. designed with a draped neckline and short sleeves. Her shoulderlength veil of illusion fell from a crown and she carried a nosegay of white roses tied with white ribbons.
Miss Sandra Soboloff, as her sister's only attendent, wore a street-length dress of aqua silk organza with a matching headband and carried a nosegay of yellow loses tied with aqua ribbons.
William Payne of Washington, Virginia, served as best man for his brother.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at I-es Shaw’s Restaurant in New Haven.
Mrs. Payne, an alumna of Milford High School, was graduated in June from Pecker Junior College, Worcester, Massachusetts, where she. completed a secretarial course.
