RCHS Drops Games
To Loudoun
The Panthers and Pantherettes of Rappahannock County High School bowed o Loudoun County High at the opening game of the season Friday, December 2 in the first game on the new RCHS court with a capacity house attending.
In the first half of the girl’s game, Rappahannock’s guards were lax on rebounding and the forwards were definitely having an off night.
Though their game improved in the second half, Loudoun had too great a lead to be overcome. Shirley Brown was high scorer.
The Panthers seemed a bit disorganized in their attempt against Loudoun. Butch Browning was high point man.
The RCHS Junior Varsity and boys teams played Warren County Wlid Cats Tuesday, December 6 on Rappahannock’s court with the Panthers the victors and the Junior boys losing to Warren County. The Junior Varsity game had a close finish with the winning points made in the last few seconds of play.
Rappahannock Varsity won with a score of 43-25.
Wednesday, December 7, Rappahannock girls played Madison at Madison and chalked up a resounding victory of 42* to 21.
These games are not conference games. The first District 9, Group II game will be December 16 at Warrenton.
