would give their (teachings and then straightforwardly state, “but I say unto you.” Jesus, who most likely spoke in Aramic, by his religious heritage and cultural environment was brought into contact with 'Hebrew, Greek and Latin. Thus, we see Jesus intellectually prepared in the scriptures, the teachings and the languages in His area. Suffice it to say that a dull mind is not to be praised. Men used by God in the past who were intelectually weak, were used in spite of their weakness, not because of it.
The last preparation of Jesus is the one in which He excelled magnificantly. This is possibly our weakest step concerning the Christian pilgrimage.
Spiritual Preparation
3. He was spiritually prepared to preach. Jesus took His spiritual preparation for granted in that He constantly kept working at it. We, His followers, take our spiritual preparation for granted in that we don't bother to develope godly habits. What a difference! He was the Son of God, yet He went apart to pray. His life was filled with thoughtful meditations. This was His source of strength. Possibly if our lives ^nd homes possessed this same kind of prayer and meditation we could find the “eye”, the inner circle of (iiod’s peace in these whirling days of activity.
