ASC Office Advises
Farmers To Keep Records
Here is advice from the ASC office to Rappahannock County sheep producers ttfho market unshorn lambs this fall. Keep a full record of all sales so proper application for payment may be made next spring under the Wool Incentive Program.
“Failure to keep full records has caused some producers difficulties in the past,” Rappahannock ASC County office manager said. “Sales records must include the name of the buyer, his signature, the number and liveweight of lambs sold with the notation ‘unshorn’ thereon.” ! i ;
M. C. Gore said producers should keep these records in a safe place at home or deliver them to the ASC county office for safekeepin. Although the final date for' making application for payment under the 1960 wool program is not until April 30, 1961, the applications may be submitted to thte ASC office any time between now and then.
“It’s mighty easy for farmers to misplace sales slips over the win-' ter,” M. C. Gore said, “and I strongly suggest that farmers let us lock up the sales slips here in the county office for safekeeping until next spring.”
