How Did Jesus Grow?

"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
Thanksgiving has passed and Christinas is just around the corner. The Bethlehem scene in all it's beauty and mystery will again be brought into focus. It is my desire to point out that Jesus did not remain in the manger, or cradle. This child grew into a man whose word:% are imperishable—though He himself never wrote a book. Though there are various ministries of the life of Jesus we could stress —such as healer or counselor—I have chosen to discuss how Jesus grew into becoming a preacher. In His inaugural address He said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach...to preach the gospeL— to preach deliverance. to preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:18-19) In short, Jesus is saying that He has been sent by (lod to preach to men. We shall now see how Jesus prepared Himself for this task.
