The I960 amendments reduced by about onethird the length of time a person has to work under social security to become insured for the payment of benefits to himself and his family. Unchanged, however, is the provision that no one may get benefits without at least six quarters of work.
Miss Schaffner urges those who ha\e had some work under social security but did not have enough credits to be insured, to contact the social security’ office to find out if this new provision now makes rhem eligible.
