Flint Hill Firemen

Honored At Banquet

The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Company served a delightful dinner to the firemen and visitors on Tuesday evening, March 14. Rev. Warren Wilbur acted as toast master and Mrs. Barbara Gentry on behalf of the ladies and H. S. Barksdale speak- . ing for the firemen welcomed the gifests and coworkers.

Group singing was enjoyed as well as special selections by Mrs. Warren Wilbur, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Paul Nichols Mr. Bill Stover of station WFTR in Front Royal also rendered vocal selections while accompanied by Mrs. Foster White.

Special guests were introduced by Mr. Barksdale. Mayor Blanton of Front Royal along with Mr. Herr of Trout Drug Store and Mr. Rufus Wall, Walls Jewelry Store were present. Also .Mr Stoutemeyer, who has been so accommodating with help in the fire company.

Representatives of Warreton, Culpeper, includng Mayor T. I. Martin of that city, Amissville, Chester Gap, Front Royal, Sperryville and Washington were present. Fire Warden Raymond Johnson and Mr. Walt Saunders of Luray, with Mrs. Saunders were there, to mention a few.

A rising vote of thanks with thunderous applause was given the ladies for the banquet and efficient assistance.
