Firemen at Flint Hill and Amissville turned out to be very interested in our first talks and movie on County Planning.. Certainly they indicated belief in the “need of something to be done.” Also Rappahannock Lions Club and Soerryville Fire Department have asked the same program to be discussed at their May meeting.
Depending upon interest exhibited by local citizens, a series of discussion meetings can be arranged. If County Planning is needed, what about discussions on our Natural Resources or on Development and Building Codes, etc. Our Board of Supervisors is aware of the need for Planning, so is the Rappahannock Farm Bureau but if I judge these bodys correctly.none wants to write a plan without having expressions from our people nor without giving the matter thorough and sound thought! Amen.

Miss Jane Hitt and J. C. Bernie of Washington D. C. spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hitt. Sunday dinner guests were George W. Anglin and Miss Tacy Elleyettc of Washington, D. C. and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Dodson and daughters, Christine and Darlene of Culpeper.
Gene Hitt was in Charlottesville Wednesday for a check up at University of Virginia IHospital.
Roy Nethers, Gilbert Fincham, Mrs. Colvin McCloud and son Gene were guests Sunday of J. D. Fincham and Miss Virginia Settle.
