Mr. Gasquc was bom in Walterboro, S. C. He was graduated from the Citadeil, Charleston, S.C. in 1922 with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. In 1924 he came to Front Royal as instructor and Commandant at Randolph Macon Academy. From 1925 to 1945 he served as Principal of Warren County High School after which he was elected Superintendent of Schools of Warren and Rappahannock Counties, serving to the present time.
Mr. Casque attended John Hopkin’s University for graduate work and the University of Virginia, receiving1 his Master’s degree from the University in 1936.
He is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, £ national education fraternity, and Pi Gamma Mu, national social science society.
He holds membership in the Virginia Education Association, Virginia' Department of Superintendents, National and Rural Superintendents, .American Association of School Administrators, National Education! Association and Chairman of Region IV, Virginia Superintendent’s Advisory Council.
Mr. Casque did not disclose any information; about his future work except that he would be in education.
Mr. Gasque has served our county faithfully, in what at times has been a very difficult position.
