Baptists Meet
Members of the Flint Hill and Washington Baptist Churches gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Walker Wednesday evening to plan the joint Eastier Service.
A bountiful buffet supper was served and the Rev. Warren Wilbur gave an illustrated lecture on church and other activities, in Oklahoma, Texas and Kentucky.
Members of the two churches appreciate very much the hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Walker in opening the doors of the historic old dining room for the meeting.
Armed Forces News
Army Specialist Four John. W. Pullen, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pullen, Route 1, Washington Va. recently participated with other personnel from the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Exercise Winter Shield II at the Grafenwohr-Hohenfels train ing area in Germany.
A supply clerk in Headquarters Troop of the regiment’s 1st Reconnaissance Squadron in Fulda, Specialist Pullen entered the Army in April 1.958 and. arrived overseas in March 1959.
He is a 1957 graduate of Rappahannnock County High School. His wife, Dorothy, is with him in Germany.
Pvt. Melvin Williams, who entered the Army in September and Jackson, S. C. and Fort Hood, Texas, has arrived in Germany for duty. His address is Pvt. Melvin S. Williams, US52513530, B. Co. 2nd A.R.B. 46th Inf. APO 39, New York, N. Y.
