Thomas W. Settle
Thomas William Settle of Viewtown died Tuesday, March 7, at Butler Nursing Home at Inlet. Son of the late Turner Settle and Susie Shackelford of Rappahannock County, he was 81 years of age.
He is survived by two sons, Granville EL Settle and Willie M. Settle both of Viewtown; and a brother, Joe Settle of Viewtown. His wife, Mrs. Dora Mozingo Settle, died in 1949, and a daughter, Miss Ollie Jane Settle, died in 1945.
A funeral service for Mr. Settle, who was a member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church, was held Thursday, March 9, from Amissville Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. John B. Hodge conducted the service.
Pallbearers were Turner Settle, James Jenkins, Norvel James, Bill Butler, Paul Smith, Richard Latham Ernest Mozingo and Charlie Priest.
Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of arrangements.
