Noah S. Williams
Noah Samuel Williams, 71, of Chester Gap died in Warren Memorial Hospital on Sunday evening, June 4.
He was a retired orchardist and carpenter. He was born in Rappahannock County the son of the late George and Alice Hall Williams.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Mahoney Williams and by a previous marriage, three sons, and a daughter: Bossie W., Bradley and Andrew Williams, and Mrs. Bertha North, Chester Gap. Two children, 'Arnold and Mary Ellen by a second marriage, survive. He leaves eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Cary Williams, Chester Gap; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle North.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2:30 from the Scott Funeral Home in Front Royal. Rev. Young Coleman officiated, Interment was in the Williams cemetery^
Pallbearers were Lewis Smith, Burner Dodson, Marvin Clark, Rufus Stoneburner, Irving Me Donald and Howard McDonald.
