2. QUAIL, RABBIT GROUSE, PHESANT AND TURKEY SEASONS AND BAG LIMITS: (a) It shall be lawful to hunt quail, rabbits, and grouse, statewide, beginning the third Monday in November through January 31, dates inclusive, except in the counties of Bland, Buchanan, Carroll, Dickenson, Giles, Grayson, Lee, Pulaski, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tate well, Washington, Wise and Wythe the season on quail shall close on December 31.
(b) It shall ge unlawful to hunt pheasants at any time except on licensed shooting preserves.
(c) It shall be lawful to hunt turkeys, statewide, from the third Monday in November to January 16, dates inclusive, except, however, it shall be unlawful to hunt turkeys at any time in the conutiea of Alleghany and Bath in the Gathright Management Area only, Bland, Buchanan, Carroll, Charlea City, Clarke, Dickenson, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Gloucester, Grayson, Greene, Henry, Lancaster, Lee, Madison, Mathews, Middlesex, Montgomery, Norfolk, Northumberland, Page, Patrick, Pulaski, Rappahannock, Richmond, Roanoke, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Warren, Washington, Westmoreland, Wise and Wythe, also in those sections of Rockingham and Shenandoah counties lying between Routes 11 ad 840.
