Six cub scouts from Floris, Va., Steven Thiertel, David Summers, Keith Purcell, John Simmons, Randy Gale and Willie Roland, with the Den Mother,, Mrs. Willie Roland, and Mrs. Phillip Thienel, had a picnic lunch with Miss Almond Saturday. That corner of town was very lively that day.
Sunday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Wadb H. Massie, III and family were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Williams at their home on the Richmond Road.
Steve Critzer was a guest from Sunday until Tuesday of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keyser in Luray.
T. C. Lea, Jr. accompanied Miss Annie Miller Almond to Floris and Herndon Thursday. Miss Almpnd got a joyous welcome from her school class and friends. Sunday Miss Almond and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Sisk took a picnic lunch and spent the day in Waynesboro with Rev. and Mrs. John Divers and son Jeffrey.
Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Gore were in Roanoke from Wednesday until Saturday where Mr. Gore attended the state convention of A.S.C. held at Hotel Roanoke.
