Naples For Holidays
NAPLES, Italy—Major Woodrow W. Jenkins, son of Mrs. H. P. Jenkins of Peola Mills, Sperryville, Va., will spend Christmas in this Italian port city, where he is serving at the Headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s Allied Forces in Southern Europe.
He and his family will join hundreds of Italian, French, Greek, and British military personnel and their families and friends in re-, avowing the seasonal proverb— “Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men.”
Major Jenkins is an auditor and navigator with this integrated southern European allied command which forms the defensive right flank of the NATO couth tries. The command is responsible for the defense of 84 million people in Italy, Greece, and Turkey. *
Traditional Christmas meals and brightly decorated trees will be part of the holiday spirit. During the festivities at the headquarters, families of the various nations become acquainted with each other’s Christmas customs.
He and his wife, the former Susan £. Poore or 5606 Wilson Lane, Bethesda, Md., have three children.
