The doctors, who should know more than anyone else about Great Britain’s socialized medical care program after 14 years of experience in it, are giving it a swift kd-k in the teeth. Fed up with it, many are pulling out for the United States, Canada, Ausralia, New Zealand or other places where medicine is still free. Dr. John Searle, a specialist in medical economics in Britain, estimates that around 1,000 doctors a year are quitting Britain—four times more than in pre-socialized medicine days.
