Mrs. Evelyn Harris

Mrs. Evelyn Doris Harris, 26,!

a former resident of Huntly, died in Charleston, S. C. Friday, April 13. Her husband, Frederick K. Harris, Jr., is in the U. S. Navy stationed in Charleston.

Surviving with her husband is a daughter Tamre Dawn Harris; her parents, Willie B. Mills and Mrs. Pearl Cameron Mills, Huntly; a sister, Mrs. Galen Reil of Farmville; and her grandmother, Mrs. Samuel North, Huntly.

A funeral service was held Monday morning at eleven o’clock from Willis Chapel Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. William A. Jester, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Grant Infant Dies

Suddenly

Word has been received of the death of Edna Catherine Grant, the seven week old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Grant of Spotsylvania Courthouse.

The baby was the grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Walker, formerly of Washington, Va.

A small boy was bored on a long trip. Suddenly, he turned to his father and said: “I wish you’d let Mon drive—it’s more exciting.”
