Riding Club Roll Now Numbers Twenty
Five new members enrolled in the Light Horse and Pony Club at the meeting held December 19 at the courthouse in Washington. This brings the membership to twenty. Those enrolling were: Mary Wood, Eleanor Rector, Wayne Sutphin, Nelson Putnam, and Earl Putnam, Jr. John Baumgardner joined as a member at large. Highlighting the meeting was a contest on the front anatomy of a horse. The contest was won by the Rough Riders after director, W. H. Lyne, had to resort to very hard questions to stump either side. The Rough Riders and the Whips are the two groups within the club competing. Susan Dodson was elected secretary of the Western riding group and Bill Fletcher elected to that office of the English riding group. Susan Dodson acts as secretary when the two groups meet together. The next meeting will be held January 23 and the contest to be held at this time will be on the back anatomy of a bormm, i M frajirnnry „ club plans to get together to ride after school.
