Rep. W. Pat Jennings, D-Va., is moving from the'third floor of the new House office building— the Longworth Building—to the former offices of Rep. Burr P. Harrison, D-Va.
Harrison, who did not run for re-election, had moved to those offices from the old House office building—the Cannon Building—to be conveniently near he House Ways and Means Committee.
Jennings is mentioned as a possible successor of Harrison on the Ways and Means Committee. But an aide explained the move this way: the new offices are near the front entrance, on a street level, which will be more convenient for visitors and especially large groups such as school children.
Rep-elect John 0. Marsh Jr., Democrat, who is succeeding Harrison, landed an unusuallygood office for a “freshman.” It is on the street level in the Cannon, or old House office building.
