Rep. John 6. Marsh, Jr. of the Seventh Congressional District will be Grand Marshal of the Washington Firemen's carnival parade which will be . held Friday evening, June 28, 1963, according to Robert Brock, chairman of the parade committee. Mr. Brock also stated that entries for the parade are coming in steadily and he has received over a hundred firm commitments. Deadline for parade entrants is June 15. The carnival committee 'Plans a different form of entertainment for each of the four nights of the carnival, June 26, 27, 28 and Wednes„ day night a. „he*ftj»*ttle or fire tournament is planned. Thursday night will feature a modern fire equipment demonstration as well as a entertainment by a string band. The parade is the Friday night feature and The Virginia Lancers, a drum and bugle corps from Strasburg, will give a performance. Saturday night the grand award, a 1963 Chevrolet, will be given away, as will a set of outdoor furniture.
