Big Bats Contest
Gene Scearce, owner and operator of Scearce Auto Supply in Culpeper, last week announced the opening of the annual Big Bass- Contest which will continue through September 30. There are two contests; one for boys and girls through 15 years of age and another for adults. Three prizes will be awarded each month in each of the contests for the largest bass caught. The fish must be brought to Scearce Auto Sup. ply and weighed to be entered in the contest. Fishermen from Culpeper and the surrounding counties are eligible to participate. A trophy will be awarded to the season winner at the close of the contest. 4'" T-. . •' Benefit Dance
There will be a dance at Payne’s Dance Hall in Washington, Va., on Friday June 7th, beginning at 8:30. Proceeds will go towards acquiring a loud-speaker and music for the Sperryville Revelettes.
