George Martin Sisk, 31, of WoQdville, wounded his estranged wife and then killed himself with a shot gun blast Sunday night after 9 p. m. Sisk was a farm laborer on the farm of R. W. Miller in F. T. Valley. He was j married to the former Gloria Jean Jenkins, 17, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jenkins who live on the same farm. According to Sheriff Charles K. Estes, Sisk went to the home of his wife’s parents where she was making her home, and fired at her through the window as she sat in the living room with her infant child. She was wounded in the right side of her head and shoulder.
Mrs. Sisk was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by Rappahannock Rescue Squad. Her condition is satisfactory.
Sisk then walked about 500 yards from the house, reloaded his gun, and shot himself in the stomach with the 12 gauge shot gun. He apparently died instantly, say authorities. Sheriff Estes was assisted
