spending several weeks abroad visiting in Spain, France, England and Ireland. Miss Nini Laing, who accompanied her parents, remained for a longer visit. She is presently in Greece. Mr. and Mrs*George Kidwell and family were guests for the day .Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Emory J. Swink in Rockville, Md. Enroute home they visited- Mr. and Mrs.' Tommy Kidwell in Falls Church. Mr. and Mrs. Noel Laing and family returned home Friday from Georgia to spend the summer at Bunree Farm. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley were guests for the weekend of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Davis in Chapel Hill, N. C., and of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Shifflett in Durham, N. C. Amissville Ladies Auxiliary marching unit were awarded first place in the Warrenton firemen’s parade Thursday night. This is their third first place in as many parades. Miss Carol Ann Rowzie returned to her home Friday from Madison College, Harrisonburg. In a few weeks she will return to Madison to attend summer school. Miss Sandra Rowzie left Monday for Miami, Fla, for a two week vacation. She will also visit other places of interest while there. Miss Linda Rowzie spent Friday and Saturday in Staunton and attended the graduation dance at Staunton Military Academy. Mrs. J. L.
