Three Injured in Auto Crash at Massies Comer
One person was hospitalized and two more injured in a two-car accident Sunday at Massies Corner, the intersection of Routes 522 and 211. The crash occurred at 4:50 p.m. This comer has been the scene of many accidents. 4 Garland Eugene Dofflemyer of Elkton, Va., was heading west on Rt. 211 in his 1955 Chevrolet when a 1960 -Fiat heading east on the same road made a left turn from Rt. 211 onto Rt. 522, and was struck in the side by the Chevrolet. Driver of the Fiat was Duffy Anthony Duquette of Everson, Pa. Mrs. Alma Duquette, a passenger in the Fiat, sustained multiple cuts of the face qjid right leg, fractured ribs and j a severe concussion. She was j taken to Warreri Memorial Hospital, Front^ Royal, in , serious condition, according to Trooper Paul Dicks, who investigated the accident.y Mr. Duquette also received a lacerated knee. Joyce Ann Dofflemyer, a passenger in the Chevrolet, sustained lacerations of the face.
