North Madison Charge Holds Bible School
The Methodist churches of the North Madison charge had a combined Bible School at Oak Grove church the past week. There was an average attendance of 85. Mrs. Charlotte Berry was Superintendent for the school. Teachers for the week were: Mrs. H. W. Longfellow, Miss Linda Aylor, Mrs. Mollie Weakley, Mrs. Ruth Jenkins, Mrs. Jane Aylor, Mrs. Jean Gallihugh, Mrs. Jean Aylor, Anna Dameron, Mrs. Anna Lena li^l'tohen, Mrs. Lucy Coppedge and Mrs. Delma Aylor.
Honored at Graduation Dinner
Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones entertained at dinner in their home Saturday evening. In addition to their immediate family the guests included Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Miller, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Miss Ellen Walker, Mrs. L. J. Turner, Dr. John Turner and Miss Carolyn Turner. The ‘humorous theme” for the dinner was to honor Mr. Jones’ sister, Mrs. Turper. for having “graduated" John Turner from Duke University and Medical College of Virginia and Carolyn Turner from Lynchburg College. Gifts and decorations carried out the academic motif.
