Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith at Spring House Farm over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. William Litsey and family of Alexandria and Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Smith of Fairfax. On Sunday a small family dinner was held honoring Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Smith on their 55th wedding anniversary. Miss Annie Miller Almond has completed her year's teaching at Herndon and is at her home for the summer. Mrs. W. H. Moffett, Jr., with Page, Frank and Cartie Moffett are spending two weeks with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Edward Buxton at Springfield. , The Misses Annie May and Josephine Stambaugh are leaving this week for a two months stay in Green Lake, Wis., attending the American Baptist Assembly. Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett returned Wednesday from Norfolk after visiting her son, Dr. Brooke Moffett and family. She was accompanied home by her daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Mrs. Moffett and Miss Robin Moffett who returned to Norfolk on Friday. M r. and Mrs. Trenton Burke, sons David and Richard of Culpeper, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Guy' Burke. Other Sunday callers in the Burke home were .Mrs. Alice Fincham and son, Gilbert, of Berryville and Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm K. Jackson of Huntly. On Monday Mr. Burke accompanied by Mrs. Trenton Burke and Gilbert went to Charlottesville for a check-up at U. of Va. hospital. Sunday guests of Mrs. John Keyser included Mrs. Earl Edmonds of Huntly, Mrs. Earls and Mrs. Mary Waller of near Front Royal. Mrs. Keyser and Miss Mary Miller Wood visited Mrs. R. C. Brooks Saturday in Culpeper. On Monday Miss Wood was accompanied to Winchester by Mrs. Keyser, who remained for a few days to receive eye treatment. Mr. and Mrs. William J. Absher of Blacksburg were guests Friday and Saturday night of Mrs. L. J. Turner.
