| Two minor traffic accii dents occurred Saturday, | June 15 in the county.
Just after midnight on Rt. ' 522 in the Town of Flint ; Hill an automobile struck I an Angus cow. Anthony M.
| Krampel of Euclid, Ohio was i driving a 58 Chevrolet when 1 he hit the animal owned by Roland Welch. Krampel was not injured but damage to his car was estimated at $500 according to State Police W. A. Buntin. The cow was seriously in: jured and had to be killed. At 4;45 p.m. the same day I a single car accident hapi pened on Route 211 six 1 miles east of Washington. William Richard Bayne of Woodville lost control of the 53 Ford he was driving as j he rounded a curve, ran off the left side of the highway, | into a ditch and turned over. Damage to the vehicle which j was owned by Alvin Dudley Grigsby was estimated at $300. Bayne sustained injuries of his left hand.
Hike Scheduled Sunday
Members of Rappahannock Hiking Club who wish to get in step again may meet Sunday, June 23 at Sperryville Elementary School at 1:30 p.m. The group has not hiked for some time and Forest Warden Raymond Johnson, the leader, said since none of us have gotten any younger, this hike will be a short one. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kemper of Manassas will be here to hike with us. Mr. Kemper, Forest Warden for Prince William County, is quite an authority on birds and should add interest to the hike.
