Fifteen Rappahannock 4H’ers have just returned from the county 4-H camp located at Powell's Fort in Shenandoah County. Those attending were: George Powers, Carty Moffett, Eleanor Rector, Stewart Palmer, Carroll Sanders, Lizzie Eastham, Tommy Williams, Sandra Foster, Amy Palmer, James Cannon, Linda Carr, Danny Hitt, James Stringfellow and Billy Payne. Classes in swimming, crafts, agriculture, archery, just for fun, outdoor cookery ; 4-H in action, and actors and actresses were available. The boys and girls were divided into four groups for competition in talent programs, stunt activities, costume parties and sports. Miss Harriet Goode, Home Agent and Assistant County Agent, Arlis Frymyer, attended camp with the local group. There were 105 club members and 16 leaders at the camp from Rappahannock, Warren and Frederick counties.
Garden Club To Meet With Mrs. Estes
The Rappahannock Garden Club will meet at Rosewood, home of Mrs. C. H. Estes, on Wednesday, August 21 at 2 p.m.
The program chairman, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr. will use “Chestnuts'' as the subject of this meeting.
