Reports Use Increase
E.Jackson Eggborn,President of Culpeper Memorial Hospital, Inc. has issued a statement for the first six months of 1963, and said that the report was encouraging. A breakdown of figures shows substantial increases in all departments with the average number of patients served dailyrisingfrom22.8 last year to 28 this year. It was pointed out that since the facility opened in March, 1960, it has had 3,354 patients, treated 3,445 emergency cases and has been the scene of 1,808 surgical operations. Included among the patients have been 45 from Orange County so far this year. John D. Phillips is administrator, with a medical staff of 8 general practitioners, one internist, two surgeons, a gynecologist and obstetrician residing in the Culpeper area, and eight consultant specialists on call.
