Mrs. Payne chose for her daughters wedding a blue dress and matching flowered hat with white accessories. Her corsage was of pink carnations. Mrs. Clater's dress was pink with whitq accessories and her flowers were white carnations. A reception followed the ceremony in the social hall of the church. Presiding at the punch bowl was Mrs. W. L. Payne, and Mrs. Wilson Burke served the wedding dake. Mrs. Franklin Payne was in charge of the bride's book. After a wedding trip, the couple will reside temporarily with the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Payne at Washington. Mr. Clater is employed at the Corner Store, Sperryville.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins of Washington, Va.' announce the marriage of their daughter, Dorothy Louise, to James Bernard Burke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Booten Burke of Woodville. The ceremony took place Saturday, August 10th, 1963, in Griffinsburg with the Rev. Park Dickerson officiating. The donple is presently living in Arlington but Mr. Burke will report to Fort Gordon, Ga. after a 30-day leave.
