«4 A lot of folk! have been dipped or had a doae shave—Tuesday, October 22, marked the 16th anniversary of Watts Barbershop in Washington. M. G. Watts opened the doors of the barbershop on that date in 1947 at 1 o'clock. It was Wednesday afternoon and he had not had time to sweep up the shavings from the building construction when his first customer. Paul Walker, arrived. Second in the chair was P. W. (Pete) Scudere. The customers above in the chair is James W. Coates.
