September is the end of another calendar quarter. At that time anyone who pays household employees over $50 between July 1 and September 30 is required by law to send the social security taxes which he has been withholding from the worker's pay to the Internal Revenue Service. Reporting social security taxes for household employees is very important. The social security taxes submitted for the employee and total wages paid him may determine how much monthly social security he will later receive. Proper reporting now might even determine whether he will later receive monthly checks at all. If a domestic employee is already receiving social security checks each month, the !l • . mmmggmmmmmm
