On Thursday, October 17th the Rappahannock Rescue Squad took Mrs. Lillian Jenkins from Sperryville to the University of Virginia Hospital. On Friday Miss Margaret Compton was moved from Winchester Memorial Hospital to the Royal Haven Nursing Home in Front Royal. On Monday evening Jack Freeman was taken from his home in Washington to the Warren Memorial Hospital. The Flint Hill Fire Department answered a call to afire on Hickerson Mountain on Saturday, October 19th. There was no great damage. Amissville Fire Company also responded to this alarm.
