Encourage industry to locate in the county, offering a living wage. Men are compelled to travel great distances for employment at a disadvantage to himself and dear ones, to earn pay comparable to the cost of today’s living.
A move in this direction would help lower the everspiraling tax burden, create more jobs at home for those seeking employment.
SUPERVISED COUNTY RECREATION
Recreation is a means of discovering many skills, hobbies, experiments and associations of groups for discussing youth activities.
Recreation is an energy pop valve. When used in the right manner, recreation will provide diversionary interests for youth, provide a mental stopgap for delinquency; delinquency stems from boredom and idleness and the neglect of the child in the home.'
CARE FOR THE AGED
More rest cure homes with adequate staffs to administer to their needs, wealth of an individual or the loving care of dear ones at times is not enough; those who have been exposed to an active life, then isolation will lead only to complications which will hasten their departure from this life.
PRESERVATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES
Beauty is what beauty beholds, the wide open spaces with its various beauties beyond man’s ability to explain, is God's gift to this Universe.
The needless destruction of forests to satisfy man's greed, the erection of unsightly structures in the midst of landmarks that have been preserved for centuries one would think of this as a step backward.
It is true that traditions must in some degree give way to progress, but not to a mass degree. fVirginia
