4H County Council

Elects Officers

New officers were elected at the fall county 4-H council meeting held Saturday. Retiring president, Carty Moffett presented the gavel to new ^ president Donald Gale Williams as symbol of transferring of* leadership to the new officers.

officers from all the 4-H clubs in the county. The officers are shown in a picture, in this week’s paper. Our thanks to all those whc helped in planning and conducting the meeting. During the business session the 4-H council approved action to provide 4-H members with a 4-H handbook of 4-H activities and events. The following goals were approved for the year: 1. Sponsor a county 4-H supper. 2. Sponsor a county 4-H demonstration day. 3. Provide partial scholarships to State 4-H short course State 4-H conservation camp, and State 4-H forestry camp. 4. Provide scholarships for 4-H adult leaders to attend the 4-H camp. 5. Sponsor a county wide 4-H picnic. 6. Have a 4-H rural life Sunday service.
