War II, two and one-hall billion dollars of our tax money. This would build 2,500 school houses, each costing one million dollars. Divided into our 50 states, it would allow 50 schools per state.
I, too, feel that our schools could use some help, but I prefer to see them kept under local control. Therefore, I suggest to our P-TA groups the following solution: In the flrtt place, that we stop giving any of our taxes to any and all Communist countries. In the second place, each year we will refund this saving, with no strings attached, to the various states and localities from which it came and let them use it for their public schools. They are the folks who live closest to the schools and who know the most about them. In this way we will better serve our God, our country, and the future of our children.
