Those gauzy, fragile-looking woolens, popular this fall, need special attention when It comes to pressing. Moist heat and a light hand on the Iron is the rule. Use a steam Iron or a press cloth and press the garment on the wrong side whenever possible. If some parts need touchup on the right side, place a dry wool pressing cloth over the area, and then apply heat and moisture. Remember that pressing Is not the same as Ironing. Smooth the fabric by lifting and lowering the iron rather than running it over the fabric. In this way you’ll apply pressure without stretching the fabric. All pie crusts shrink some. But if yours show signs of excessive shrinkage, it might be because you’ve handled the dough too much or rolled It unevenly.
The color of the shell of an egg makes no difference in its nutritive value. Color is determined by the breed of the hen.
Hallowe'en Party
Miss Carol Deal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry R. Deal, entertained a small group of friends on Hallowe’en night at her home at Peola Mills. The group enjoyed dancing, games and refreshments.
